Man linkin park is far from soft....Air Supply and Chicago are soft and all this emo f a g stuff is childish. Its like saying Rap music listerns are thugs and pimps when most of consumers of rap are white middle class kids who wanna feel tough. I like emo (I also like all forms of music either so im not wearing all black in my basement like that old SNL skit) and I am far from a f a g however dumb sterotypes isn't the point of this topic Linkin Park is. So with that......Do all Linkin Park songs sound the say....Yes....Its starts with the quiet guy rapping then the hook with the guy screaming his lungs out. However most of there stuff is catchy and gets in your head for about a week then you get sick of it. So if you need some energy to make you want too get off your ass or kick some ass then yeah Linkin Park stuff like Faint, Somewhere I Belong, Numb...etc are ok.

I like them. I like a lot of different types of music, and their sound is one that I like. If that makes me gay in your eyes, so be it. I'm not gay, and I don't think there's anything wrong with music that stirs emotions. I'm man enough to admit that I have inner pain, and music can soothe that pain. Music is the language of the soul, and much deeper than a few beats on the drums. I certainly wouldn't want to listen to them all the time, but I connect with their music.RobFunk said:

One thing you might care about if you have kids (or listen to music around them) LP is rare that they don't do the typical rock/hip hop or rap/metal hybrid stuff and fill their songs with f - bombs or other lyrics you might not want your kid banging his head to. So Linkin Park lyrics would be yelling "shut up, shut up" instead of "shut the fuck up" like the Limp Bizkit wannabes.
For what its worth, they are also very down to earth for rock stars, so if your tired of hearing about musicians that are total assholes, these guys don't act like that

Linkin Park was created on the streets of Lincoln Park, where Gregory Washington made a deal with Ham Lincoln. Unfortunately, this deal went haywire and ended up with two totally inefficient opposing organizations: Linkin Park and the Clinjas.
Because of the fact that most of their songs are in Japanese, Linkin Park is often mistaken for the type of band with many squealing fangirls. This is partially true.
Linkin Park is currently co-owned by Terry Pratchett and Alfonso Cuaron. Linkin Park won 3 Grammys for doing the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
